National HIV/AIDS Strategy Webcast for BHPr Grantees

The HRSA BHPr National HIV/AIDS Workgroup, along with support from the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau, conducted a National HIV/AIDS Strategy information session for BHPr grantees on Wednesday, May 18th.  The information session included statistics on the HIV/AIDS incidence and prevalence in the United States among those most at risk, information among the 12 U.S. jurisdictions that bear the highest AIDS burden in the country, an overview of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, and examples of how BHPr grantees can incorporate the Strategy within their program activities. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of the webcast, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States
  • Understand the National HIV/AIDS Strategy
  • Know how to access AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs) for technical assistance
  • Be aware of examples of how to integrate HIV/AIDS-related elements into health professions training activities
