To: Holders and Servicers Participating in the Health Education Assistance Loan (HEAL) Program
Subject: Health Education Assistance Loan (HEAL) Forms Lender Policy Memorandum L-2005-2
The purpose of this policy memorandum is to notify HEAL lenders concerning the proper use of HEAL forms. It has come to our attention that expired HEAL forms are being used by HEAL lenders. The HEAL program lists all updated HEAL forms on their website at www.bhpr.hrsa.gov/dsa/healsite . Upon receipt of this policy memorandum, lenders should refer to the website to verify that the forms they are using are the most current. HEAL will then continue to send out notices to lenders when a form is updated or revised and at that point lenders should visit the website to retrieve the latest copy. It is imperative that the proper forms are used when servicing HEAL loans.
In addition, lenders may also view HEAL policy memorandum at the same web address. This option allows lenders to view policy either by fiscal year or based on subject matter. If you have any questions, please contact Godwin Odia at (301) 443-5353.
