Academic Administrative Units in Primary Care (AAU)

Purpose

The purpose of the Academic Administrative Units (AAU) in Primary Care Program is to establish, maintain or improve academic units, programs that improve clinical teaching and research, or programs that integrate academic administrative units to enhance interdisciplinary recruitment, training, and faculty development in the fields of family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, or combinations of these disciplines.

Eligibility

Eligible entities must be from an organization accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or as indicated by the Secretary of Education; are a department or division of family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, or a combination of these disciplines; and are responsible for undergraduate and/or graduate medical education in the corresponding discipline/s.
