The purpose of the Physician Assistant Training in Primary Care program is to support projects that plan, develop, and operate a physician assistant education program and for the training of individuals who will teach in programs to provide such training. Funds may also be used to plan, develop, and operate a program for the training of physician assistants teaching in community-based settings.
Eligible entities include public or private accredited physician assistant education programs that teach physician assistant students to provide primary care medical services under the supervision of a physician.
