The number of publications on community
health workers in Academic and Professional
journals from 1965 through 2005, in
five-year increments, were as follows:
1965 through 1969: 10 publications;
1970 through 1974: 29 publications;
1975 through 1979: 33 publications;
1980 through 1984: 43 publications;
1985 through 1989: 71 publications;
1990 through 1994: 197 publications;
1995 through 1999: 198 publications;
2000 through 2004: 250 publications;
and, in 2005: 49 publications. In
the 2005 category, nine articles from
2006 were included.
