Task Force, Commission or Panel
The Arkansas Legislative Commission on Nursing was established in 2001 to:

  • Study the status of the nursing and nurse educator shortage in Arkansas
  • Project the need for nurses and nurse educators over the next ten years
  • Develop a strategic statewide plan to ensure an appropriately prepared workforce
  • Convene stakeholders from nurse education, the healthcare and business industries, the legislature and the public
  • Enhance and promote recruitment, retention, advancement, recognition, reward and renewal for nurses in Arkansas.
