Career Ladder Development

  • Wyoming has hospital-based efforts to develop a flexible career advancement system. Programs are available to allow CNAs to complete nursing degrees/

Marketing Health Careers

  • The Health Occupations Consortium has a program to market health careers to high school students.

Data Collection

  • The Department of Employment and the Long Term Care Association currently have the most extensive data on Wyoming’s health workforce, with information on salary, nurse/patient ratios and nursing turnover at health care facilities.

Other

  • Wyoming healthcare facilities in conjunction with the Wyoming Nurses Association hosted a teleconference town hall meeting open to all health professionals and administrators on health workforce shortages.
