NOTICE: These Scholarship and Loan programs do NOT provide financial aid directly to current or future enrolled students. These programs are intended for institutions, who if supported, provide financial assistance to its students. Please contact your school directly if you wish to apply for a HRSA-funded scholarship or loan.

HRSA makes grant funding to schools, which in turn provide scholarships and low-interest loans to disadvantaged students with financial need to increase the diversity of the health professions workforce and the number of providers working in underserved communities. Many of the students who benefit from these programs are from racial and ethnic minorities under-represented in the health workforce, including African Americans, Latinos, and American Indians and Alaska Natives – groups that comprise 25 percent of the U.S. population, but less than 10 percent of many health professionals.
